I care about your being. I care about your whole-body-being autonomy. I care about our collective freedom and liberation.
I wish to share in practices with you that create space and conditions such that we may be home in our own bodies. My practices grow from the nutrient-dense soil of deep listening, mutual consent, care, courage, and a commitment to practice.
I am particularly engaged in working with survivors of sexual trauma and domestic violence, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled folx, and the places these all overlap; these are experiences and identities I, too, live within.
My energy tending practices incorporate healing touch (which can mean no-contact touch), deep listening, breathwork, and compassionate communication. I am listening to you when we practice, meaning you are leading; I am listening, witnessing, supporting—tending. In this I am tending to your breath, deeply listening to your subtle body cues—where there is warmth, cooling, softenings, retraction, frozenness—and then moving my hands, with your body’s permission, through these places and spaces, following their (your) guidance, offering invitations of shift, relief, or tender touch-acknowledgement of the energies within your body.
To me, especially as a survivor, embodiment means feel-sensing what is real within my body, and connecting from that ground of trueness with other bodies. In this way, I touch-sense back into re-membrance My aspiration is to offer space that you may re-member and land into the trueness of your body’s wisdom and knowing, which also means getting to practice-play as we learn anew what safety feels like. I do this work to create community where we get to make a practice of remembering, for the first time over and over again, that touch can be safe and is a necessary life nutrient, and we get to have a say in what that feel-looks like.
I cherish your being and look forward to being in practice with you.
